NEW YORK-Oct. 27, 2015- 2K today announced that WWE® 2K16, the newest addition to the flagship WWE video game franchise, is available now in North America for the PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment systems, Xbox One and Xbox 360. WWE 2K16 delivers the most authentic, comprehensive and action-packed WWE video game experience to date, including the largest roster of WWE Superstars, Divas and Legends in WWE games history, the story-driven 2K Showcase based on WWE 2K16 cover Superstar Stone Cold Steve Austin® and significant additions to the game’s Creation Suite and online offerings, as well as a host of gameplay enhancements.  WWE 2K16  is currently scheduled for release internationally on October 30, 2015.

• Arnold Schwarzenegger as The Terminator: Fans who pre-ordered WWE 2K16 at any participating retailer will receive two exclusive playable versions of 2015 WWE Hall of Fame inductee and global action film icon Arnold Schwarzenegger as T-800 from The Terminator and T-800 from Terminator 2: Judgment Day;
• Gameplay Improvements: WWE 2K16 builds upon last year’s foundation, including key enhancements and innovations to deliver the strongest WWE gameplay experience to date. Improved controls, a new reversal system, new pin system and chain wrestling improvements are chief among the enhancements this year;

• MyCareer: The franchise’s career-driven mode, now in its second year, will see players define their legacies by making critical choices in their quest to be inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame. Players will begin their journey at the WWE Performance Center, and through a series of objectives, rise through the ranks to join NXT, compete to earn a spot on the WWE main roster and strive for the ultimate prize of a Hall of Fame induction. • Online: WWE 2K16 provides players with multiple ways to play online with the WWE 2K community. No longer utilizing background matchmaking, the game now offers a prestige system that tracks user progress and results throughout their online careers. Additional online features include:
• WWE Live: WWE 2K16’s standard matchmaking option delivers more match types to compete in this year. In addition, after choosing their Superstars and match types, players will enter a practice session to warm up their Superstars while the system finds opponents and sets up matches;
• 2K Tonight: This new feature delivers dynamic daily events, themed after all major WWE television shows and pay-per-views, with opportunities to provide players with boosts for their participation;
• Team Up: Requested by the WWE 2K community, players can now invite friends to join them in two- or three-man tag team competitions against others;
• Private Match: This feature offers complete freedom for players to invite their friends to their own matches, enabling them to play online together;
• Community Creations: An online staple of the WWE 2K online experience, this feature enables users to upload, explore and download the best custom Superstars, Divas, Arenas, Shows, Movesets and logos created by the WWE Universe;
• WWE Universe: WWE 2K16 makes core improvements to stories, rivals and match card selections. In addition, for the first time, Superstars can be assigned to multiple shows, enabling players to have a broader experience;
• Overall Upgrades: For the first time, a three-man commentary team is now a part of the franchise, with John “Bradshaw” Layfield joining returning commentators Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler. Also new this year, seamless transitions between entrances and the start of matches now see the camera pan the arena and to the commentary team for thoughts on the upcoming matches. Significant improvements were also made to overall match presentation and flow.

Microsoft on Wednesday announced the Games With Gold lineup for November 2015. Xbox Live Gold users are getting four free games during the month spread across Xbox One and Xbox 360. Free titles for November 2015 include Pneuma: Breath of Life and Knight Squad on Xbox One, as well as Dirt 3 and Dungeon Siege III for Xbox 360. Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign Coming to Consoles

GUITAR HERO ® LIVE HITS THE ROAD WITH IMAGINE DRAGONS: SMOKE + MIRRORS EUROPEAN TOUR

  The new Guitar Hero Live will let players live out a rock star fantasy, playing to real crowds that react to your performance. Ahead of the European launch of Guitar Hero Live on 23^rd October, Activision Publishing Inc., has announced an integrated tour partnership with Imagine Dragons, taking Guitar Hero Live on the road during the band’s European “Smoke + Mirrors” tour.

Fans of the band will be able to pick up the new six-button Guitar Hero controller and experience the thrill of performing live, playing Imagine Dragon’s award winning track “Demons” in the game.

Dan Reynolds, lead singer commented, “We really didn’t feel like doing actual rehearsals for our upcoming European tour, so it was fortunate timing that we could practice via Guitar Hero Live instead. Our European fans will definitely suffer as a result, but it was a lot less work.”

Sheltered Receives Combat and Quests Update

Wakefield, UK – 24th September 2015 – Games industry veteran and games label Team17 together with independent developer Unicube is excited to announce the arrival of the Combat and Quests update for their co-developed post-apocalyptic disaster management game Sheltered.

The update is introduced via the first episode of their new behind the scenes developer diary videos, “Beneath the Surface”.

Sheltered is a post-apocalyptic disaster management game that gives a whole new meaning to the term “nuclear family”.

With all hope lost, how will you cope in this bleak new world? How you handle the many moral choices you’ll encounter on a daily basis could be the difference between your family surviving or dying. Combat claustrophobia, radiation and mental exhaustion as you cling desperately to life in the cramp, cold and scary underground shelter. You’ll have to leave the scant protection the shelter offers behind as you’re forced to venture outside into the dangerous desolate wasteland to scavenge for vital supplies which could ensure your families survival for just one more day.

Rise of the Tomb Raider Season Pass and Game Mode details revealed

This morning, Xbox and Crystal Dynamics announced that “Rise of the Tomb Raider” is now available for digital pre-order in the Xbox Store with two great offers – one featuring “Rise of the Tomb Raider” with an exclusive bonus downloadable content pack entitled the Remnant Resistance Pack, the other featuring “Rise of the Tomb Raider”, the Remnant Resistance Pack plus the game’s Season Pass.

In addition, Franchise Creative Director Noah Hughes revealed several new game modes that fans can look forward to in “Rise of the Tomb Raider” including:

• Score Attack – This mode lets fans replay levels from the game with a new set of rules, as they race the clock to post the best time and earn medals. In Score Attack, players are encouraged to Chain together attacks, movements, and collectibles to keep their multipliers high.
• Remnant Resistance – In this mode, fans can replay Hub spaces with a new set of goals.
• New Game Plus –  Which will let you keep the skills and equipment that you acquired on your first play-through

The Remnant Resistance pack – Fans who digitally pre-order “Rise of the Tomb Raider” will receive the Remnant Resistance pack which includes the all-new Remnant Outfit for Lara, which is a collection of animal skins and ancient Byzantine armor. The outfit gives Lara a chance to bandage without using her resources.

PS4 vs XBOX ONE

With both systems finally released the biggest question on most gamers minds was      what will it cost. We know now the PS4 will have a starting price of $399.99 and the XB One will come in at a heavier $499.99.  PS4 will now require the once optional PlayStation Plus membership and you will also not be required to have an internet connection while also being able to trade games traditionally. As for XB one you will be required to have the the system linked to the internet at the minimum every 24 hrs and users may sell titles back to retailers or give them to friends provided they have approval from the publisher.
