On 26th of October 2015 Nissan’s Project Controller will enter the PlayStation Controller Hack phase. The idea with this phase is to reveal how the actual controller hack and programming was done. We are going to talk about the accomplishments and challenges we faced.

Here’s the description of the phase on Project Controller web page:

26th of October – PLAYSTATION CONTROLLER HACK

Hacking the PlayStation controller turned out to be quite a hassle.

Our initial idea was to hack the Bluetooth signals but that was way too tricky. After several failed attempts and moments of despair we decided to open up the controller and add our own cables to send signals from a microcontroller to simulate the button pushes. Now, after hours of hardcore hacking, everything is working more smoothly than we could possible imagine.

Next we need to connect the controller to the Nissan QASHQAI.

In addition to the description above, we are going to post film content and still images of the hacking process on our web site and social channels. But in order to create enough social buzz, we need your help.

Attached you will find still shots, a GIF animation and a link to a YouTube video (https://youtu.be/tHB3-DWbFH8) free to be published any way you choose. Please post and boost them as much as possible. You can also share this content with your associates and influencers.

We encourage you to use your imagination and hope that you post in your own words, but here’s a few example posts just to demonstrate the correct tone of voice.
